Here's a panel from the opening story to Detective Comics #43. In the story, Batman does what he does best, but I couldn't help but notice the goofy face on one of the criminals. If you ignore the character on the left, it almost looks like Batman is giving the criminal a hug. Meanwhile, the criminal is giving an eye roll same as I used to give when my aunt Gladys used to hug me as a boy.
This one sticks out to me because this era of comics usually features the same facial expressions over and over. It's a perfect example of the type of things I come across in my comic reading project. It's slow progress, but an interesting adventure.
